This  WMF sardine dish, has a beautiful Art Nouveau design of water-lilies, with sinuous, swirling stems and leaves. The lid has a fish handle and the tray is fitted with the original cut glass liner. Offered in excellent condition. The plate is in very good condition. The fish handle is pewter-coloured with no silver plate. Please see detailed photos. Marked with the ‘WMF’ ostrich stamp, the letters ‘as’ and ‘1/10’ as shown. Also marked ‘ox’ on the lid. Made in Germany circa 1906. A very pretty, functional and original example of genuine Art Nouveau, WMF metalware, dating from the turn of the last century.
